Rhea has signed the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), the seven principles launched in 2010 by UN Women and the United Nations Global Compact to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace. This step strengthens Rhea’s long-term commitment to social sustainability, grounded in a people-first culture built on respect, inclusion, and the recognition of diversity as a source of value.
By joining the WEPs, Rhea reinforces its focus on equal opportunities and fair working conditions, a workplace culture based on listening and respect, professional and personal growth free from discrimination, and an active contribution to a more equitable and sustainable model of development.
The signature reflects an ongoing journey already supported by initiatives such as Rhea Women Spark and dedicated training programmes on women’s empowerment, alongside everyday organisational choices that shape the entire employee lifecycle—from recruitment and learning to career development and the protection of parenthood—guided by inclusion, meritocracy, and equal opportunity. In the same direction, Rhea is also defining a dedicated Gender Equality Policy to make objectives, tools, and responsibilities even clearer and to further strengthen this structured approach.
The commitment is fully aligned with Rhea’s recently published Sustainability Report, which transparently presents the company’s actions, policies, and results across social, environmental, and governance areas, highlighting its attention to people’s wellbeing and to building an inclusive and respectful working environment.
Through the WEPs, Rhea confirms its intention to continue evolving its business responsibly, recognising social sustainability as a core ethical value for the company and the communities in which it operates.
